Sunny Mittens

I love these mittens!

I've been wanting to knit myself a pair of mittens before winter this year but was a little hesitant considering my last go at mittens wasn't so great. The mittens were too loose, and one was bigger than the other.  Of course, a year has passed since then and my knitting has gotten a bit better. 

For starters, these are the same size! I did shorten the pattern a bit since I have small hands. I used Malabrigo Worsted in Pollen and while I'm generally not attracted to yellow items, I am in love with this color. It is not too bright and just so buttery. The mittens only used up half a skein so perhaps there is a matching neck warmer in my future.

Now that I'm kind of on a mitten kick, and once I manage to finish my first colorwork project, I think I may take on knitting these mittens. They are so pretty, and besides the fact that I love butterflies, I really like the navy and yellow color combination. They are also being sold as a kit, which would make it easier for me than going out and buying the yarn and all separately.

Yarn: Malabrigo Worsted in Pollen, 1/2 a skein

Needles: #6 and #8 dpns, smaller size for cuff
