Suave, Rico Suave

After completing and finally being able to blog about my finished Autumn Vines Beret, I've been thinking about making myself a new hat. Then Alana's most recent podcast went up and all the talk about Becoming Art yarns just did me in. Somehow, three skeins of the Suave (a 100% superwash merino) jumped into my online basket and showed up at my house yesterday.

This yarn is destined to become the Audrey in Unst pattern, which will look great with a dress I've had for a while now but have not had the right little cardigan to go with.  The size of the pattern I'll be making calls for  something like 850 yards. Since the skeins are 380 yards each, I had to buy three which will leave me with enough leftover to make the Autumn Vines Beret! I have, however, put myself on a bit of a personal knitting hold until I finish Christmas projects. My overextended list (on the sidebar) is shrinking (albeit slowly) as I have now finished the alpaca sample knitting project I was working on (more details when the pattern is released). Hopefully I'll have some finished projects to share soon!
