Knitting and Crochet Blog Week

Click me for more info!

Knitting and Crochet Blog Week begins tomorrow and instead of writing lesson plans (who really wants to know the metric system anyway?) or preparing for the HUGE assignment I have due Wednesday, not to mention the tutoring sessions with my ESL student this week, I've decided to get a few posts ready. Responsible, right?

I'm hoping that this will help jump start my blogging. This semester has been extremely taxing and I've been feeling like I haven't had any time for myself. It's been all work, work, work and even though I just spend the week in California, I spent a lot of that time sick (again!) and worrying about the work that I had left behind.  Also, our local Humane Society's annual Bark in the Park fundraiser is getting close again and I was kind of bummed that I didn't think far enough in advance to start planning for it. I didn't want to do another yarn raffle, even though it turned out awesome (Timber and I were third place as individual fundraisers raising over $400!), because of the amount of planning that had to go into it. So I dallied and now I'm thinking it's just too late. I'm not really sure what I could do to raise money at this point. I was thinking knitting a lace shawl to auction off, etc.? If you have any ideas, please let me know. I've kind of come to terms with the fact that sometimes you just have to let some things go. So unless I can come up with some stellar idea by the beginning of next week...

So far, I have tomorrow's post prepared and will prepare Friday's post today as well (I think it will be kind of fun!). Each day of blogging has it's own topic so it's requiring me to think ahead a bit. Will you be joining too?

  1. I am sorry to hear you've been so sick and that this semester is less than fun (I'm dying for it to be over, already!) How many more weeks of school now???
