There has been a lot of yarn coming and going in my house this week. I did finish this sample knit but since it's not yet published it will have to stay secret just a bit longer.
I also finally ordered and received the yarn for the sweater I'll be making Adam for Christmas. I (with a bit of help from Jacey) decided on Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in Onyx Heather and Arctic Pool Heather which I think are both the appropriate amount of masculine needed to make a husband's sweater.
In the pattern book I'll be using (Knits Men Want) one of the suggestions the author had was to keep colors for men subdued and I'm pretty sure I've managed to do this. I'll probably get swatching for this later today.
I also picked these socks back up again this week. I had let them rest for a bit since I had a few deadlines to make before I could devote the time to them. I've since finished one sock and am almost to the heel on the second. They are for a Ravelry friend with whom I swapped knitting sevices for knitting supplies. Hopefully a finished picture of these will be coming soon!
oh I know that sweater! I recently purchased the 'Knits Men Want' book, arent the patterns gorgeous! and they are suitable for multiple gauges
