Pebble Vest

I am currently in California visiting with my parents right now. We thought it would be fun to have a baby shower and one last visit before Luscious comes. I would like to point out though that traveling is not the same when you're seven months pregnant. I went to bed last night with swollen hands, feet, and legs and woke up this morning with a sore everything. I also managed to run into a knitting snafu, but more on that once I've uploaded pictures.

In the meantime, here's the Pebble Vest! This was a super, super quick knit. It's a free pattern for newborns on Ravelry but if you look through the projects, plenty of people have up-sized it to fit a variety of ages. I ended up using some of the yarn left over from the Essential Cardigan and even though it's not superwash, it looks so rustic and cozy. Besides, I doubt he'll be wearing this for very long since I just knit the newborn size. I bought the buttons at JoAnn for something like $2 so this was a very economical vest. I would definitely knit another as a gift since they're so easy to whip up!

Pattern: Pebble by Nikol Lohr
Yarn: Naturally Harmony 8ply

  2. That is SO smart to put those terrific, bright blue buttons on that neutral brown! Such a smart accent they are.
Hope you're having a great Cali visit! I'm a born & bred City by the Bay gal.

  6. Very cute! I hope some of your aches and swellings abate. It seems if I walk for over 15 minutes it feels like my hips are going to break apart these days. Put your feet up and do some more knitting. :)
