Star Booties

I've been feeling a little bit of mom guilt recently (who knew it could start before you actually had the baby?). My mother pointed out that I hadn't really made any clothes for the baby and that I've spent the summer knitting for myself. I told her I was going through a selfish phase. But I kept thinking about it. So in order to make myself feel better, I whipped up a pair of Star Booties by Linda Permann.

These may have taken me all of an hour to make. I used leftover yarns from other baby projects gone by and worked up the smallest size (0-3 months). Since these were so fast, I'll probably make another pair in a different color and size. I have sweaters that I'd like to make but I'll most likely wait until he's born to determine what size I want to make. In my defense, I have made 2 blankets for the little guy and I have a third on the needles. Let me also point out he's received three additional handmade blankets, two sweaters, and two hats (I have to show you all these lovelies soon!). Besides, September is still summer, right?

Yarn: Berroco Comfort Worsted in #9729 (Grey) and # (Blue)
Hook: H (5mm)
Began: July 20
Completed: July 20

  2. OH! So very adorable!! And quick, which I note since I've only knit one tiny thing so far for my late October granddaughter. (And mother guilt has no beginning and no end; it just kind of always is.)
