If you've been wondering what I've been doing all November, here it is. Another Coastal Knits sample knit has been completed and sent away. This one is the Bayside Pullover, designed by Hannah Fettig.
This particular sample was knit in Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine in a chocolaty brown color. While it is a really simple pullover, I love how the cables add some visual interest.
Hopefully I'll be able to knit myself one in the coming year (because I'm sure it won't happen this year!).
Pattern: Bayside Pullover by Hannah Fettig
Yarn: Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine (about 2.5 skeins) color #1279
Needles: #5
Began: November 12
Completed: December1
Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat looks awesome- I love how fitted it is!
ReplyDeleteohh I love it! You're right on about the cable details - just enough. And I'm kind of amazed about how you got a hip length, long sleeved sweater out of 2.5 skeins of ultra alpaca fine. I guess I never realized how generous the yardage is?!
ReplyDeletedadgummit, it's just SUCH a flattering sweater! i'll have to add it to my queue, and hope it looks as great on me as it does on you! (rhyme unintended of course....)
ReplyDeleteThose cables are beautiful. This sweater is actually my favorite from Coastal Knits (followed closely by Gnarled Oak and Rocky Coast). The book is on my Christmas wishlist, but will be on my after Christmas to-buy list if I don't get it!
ReplyDeleteLooks stunning on you. Love the color. Now I want one!
ReplyDeleteI like this pullover too! Yours looks stunning! I might knit one too in the coming year ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful!! I love the colour, and it fits you so well. Great sweater!
ReplyDeleteWow. It looks amazing on you! It's a crime that you can't keep it. This should definitely be on your 2012 to-knit list, because it suits you completely!
